A Plan for All Trails
WV TRAIL advocates for non-motorized trails* and steadfastly believes that the non-motorized trail community has been underrepresented for quite some time. Our intent is to work with the state and its committed trail community to fund and publish a plan that helps advance non-motorized trails to the benefit of West Virginians everywhere.
A statewide plan, however, must also address the needs of motorized trails, despite inherently conflicting land uses, and how both trail types can draw mutual benefit from planning, coordination, and increased investments in trails.
*Includes water trails, rail-trails and greenways, mountain bike trails, hunter access trails, equestrian paths, hiking trails, downhill, and more.
